Dr. Samir Damani - Medical Director
Dr. Samir Damani is an internationally recognized cardiologist with over 15 years of experience in treating arterial and venous disorders. He was one of the first cardiologists in the nation to combine traditional medicine with the use of digital health and genomic technologies for the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Today, Dr. Damani is considered a “change agent” because of his holistic approach to healthcare. When creating a tailored treatment plan, he takes into account a patient’s genetics, family history, lifestyle, and life goals.
Dr. Damani also brings significant scientific rigor to his clinical practice given his experience in directing multimillion-dollar NIH (National Institutes of Health) sponsored research grants and having published dozens of peer reviewed articles and book chapters on cardiovascular disease. He has served as a scientific advisor for Science Translational Medicine, and a reviewer for leading scientific journals Nature Genetics, Annals of Internal Medicine, American Journal of Cardiology and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Damani holds multiple patents on leading-edge healthcare technologies, has founded several healthcare companies that focus on improving the health of populations, and spoken around the world on topics related to the prevention and treatment of common cardiovascular conditions. He also continues to assist health care organizations across the country improve their initiatives around population health, and remains passionate about cardiovascular treatments that can bring profound changes to quantity and quality of life for his patients.
In addition to having a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia, Dr. Damani also holds a Doctorate in Medicine from the Georgia Health Sciences University, and a Masters degree in Clinical Investigation from The Scripps Research Institute. Dr. Damani completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Chief Residency, and Cardiology Fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego – a top 20 US News and World Report heart hospital. He also serves as a voluntary clinical instructor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine for the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.
Dr. Todd Berland - Strategic Advisor
Dr. Berland is a world renowned vascular surgeon based in New York City. He is listed in Castle Connolly “America’s Top Doctors” for 2016 and has been a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, America’s top Medical Society, since 2003. Dr Berland is published extensively and is the principal investigator for several ongoing research trials. Dr. Berland is also the host of the “Vascular Surgery Show” on Sirius/XM‘s Doctor Radio (Channel 110), which airs live bi-weekly on Fridays from 6-8am.
Dr. Berland obtained his degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2003 and completed his General Surgery residency at Mayo Clinic in 2008, where, as Chief Resident, he was awarded a patent for a unique minimally invasive technique that can be used in different procedures over a wide range of surgical subspecialties. Dr. Berland decided to pursue a fellowship in Vascular Surgery when it became apparent that the field’s technology was rapidly advancing towards less invasive procedures, allowing patients to recover and return to their daily activities more quickly. Upon completing his fellowship at NYU’s Lagone Medical Center in 2010, Dr. Berland joined the faculty there and is currently the Director of Outpatient Vascular Interventions.

Whitney Saunders Gregory - RDCS RVT
Whitney Gregory is credentialed with the ARDMS as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and a Registered Vascular Technologist with over a decade of clinical experience.
In her career, she has worked in many vein treatment clinics throughout California and Hawaii. Whitney has also trained with some of the industry’s leading experts on vein disease.
As a technologist, Whitney is meticulous with her ultrasounds and has assisted with thousands of vein ablations and other ultrasound guided procedures.
Mari Hernandez - Communications Specialist
Mari has been in the medical field for 22 years. Mari attended Imperial Valley College and received her certification in Medical Assistant/Billing and Coding. Mari has had a variety of jobs in the medical field from emergency medicine to family practice to varicose vein treatment. The most rewarding part of her job is the relationship she develops with each of her patients. In Mari’s spare time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors on a dirt bike and finding new hiking trails.
